Bauer has added the Bauer Re-akt 95 Combo Hockey Helmet to this elite line. A proper fit is essential to maximize the protection a helmet provides. The Bauer Re-akt 95 Hockey Helmet features a wider/rounder shape for players who need more room on the side of the head. A tool-free adjustment located on the top of the helmet allows for easy size adjustment to ensure a proper fit. It also features a spring-loaded, adjustable occipital lock that securely fits the helmet to the back of the head and neck. Properly fitting this helmet will allow the entire liner to properly rest on the head and allow the protective layers to do their job. Bauer has used multiple padding combinations in the Re-Akt 95 to provide players with the desired comfort and protection, starting with the VTX technology base liner. This foam liner is lighter than traditional EPP foams to better disperse impacts. Bauer uses IX-Foam and XRD (Extreme Impact Protection) padding to enhance protection and comfort. IX foam fills areas of the helmet that tend to absorb low-medium impacts, and XRD foam is placed in the temple area. Bauer's top protective foam is designed for repeated impact absorption. This combination of padding and foam provides players with maximum safety. In addition to the VTX liner, the Re-Akt 95 features Suspend-Tech Next Gen padding, providing a second wave of impact-absorbing and impact-dispersing protection. All these protective layers are housed in an HDPE shell. The shell design reduces the overall weight of the helmet without compromising hardness or durability. More vents not only help reduce weight but also allow for more airflow, providing even better ventilation. The Bauer Re-Akt 95 hockey helmet features Bauer's Profile III stainless steel grille. The oval grille design improves visibility while reducing the overall weight of the helmet.
