BBB ChainWatch Chain Catcher (BCR-80A)

The BBB ChainWatch BCR-80A is a chain catcher mounted at the front derailleur, designed for road bike drivetrains with chainrings ranging from 34 to 53 teeth. Made from 6061 T6 aluminium, it provides low weight and stable drivetrain operation.

The component prevents the chain from dropping inward, especially when downshifting under load. The chain catcher keeps the chain aligned with the crank’s operating axis, reducing the risk of contact with the frame and preventing damage to the paintwork or carbon.

The construction is mounted directly at the front derailleur and remains almost invisible after installation. This solution does not affect the bicycle’s appearance or limit the drivetrain’s adjustment range. Compatibility with various front derailleur types and the included mounting hardware allow it to be used with many component configurations.

The rigid yet lightweight aluminium construction ensures durability with minimal impact on the bicycle’s weight. The chain catcher operates maintenance-free and does not require adjustment during use, which is important for bicycles used intensively or in racing conditions.
