The Deuter Ascender 13 in sprout is a modern running/trail running pack designed for fast-paced terrain. Its slim silhouette, lightweight construction, and ergonomic vest-style shoulder straps ensure a snug fit and excellent comfort during runs, fast hikes, and dynamic mountain hikes. Soft back material and a compact fit supported by the Lite system help reduce shoulder and back strain while allowing unrestricted movement.

This model has a capacity of 13 liters, weighs approximately 340 g, and is designed for a recommended load of 1–3 kg. Two adjustable chest straps, an elastic compression system, and side compression straps help limit load shifting on demanding trails. Inside, there's an elastic compartment for wet clothing or a hydration reservoir, and the backpack is compatible with hydration systems up to 3 liters. Practical shoulder strap pockets keep soft flasks, a phone, GPS, or energy gels handy, while an innovative holder/holster for foldable trekking poles allows for quick access without removing the pack. Additionally, the model offers two elastic side pockets, an internal pocket for valuables, an emergency whistle, and an SOS tag.

Another major advantage is the responsible approach to materials. The fabric body is made from 100% recycled materials and is bluesign® certified. The product is made without intentionally added PFAS, and Deuter uses a DWR finish without intentionally added PFAS. The Ascender 13 is a great choice for those looking for a lightweight trail pack, running pack, or compact sports pack for training, races, and fast-paced mountain activities.
