The QB 014 Balance Disc from Ecowellness is ideal for strengthening the muscles responsible for proper posture and balance. Sample exercises:
1. Maintaining balance: Stand on the disc on one leg for 30 seconds. Then switch legs and repeat. Gradually increase the time to 60 seconds. To increase the difficulty, you can close your eyes.
2. Strengthening the arms: Use dumbbells to perform a typical set of arm exercises while standing on the disc.
3. Squats: Standing on the disc, bend your knees and lower your body until your knees are at a 90-degree angle. You can hold the squat for 15 or 30 seconds, or perform 20 reps without stopping. You can increase the difficulty by adding weight.
4. Push-ups: Do push-ups while keeping your hands on the disc.
5. Crunches: Sit on a balance disc, bend your knees, and place your feet on the ground. Lie down on the ground, then tighten your abdominal muscles and push yourself up towards your knees. Lie back down on the floor and repeat 20 times. Once this exercise becomes comfortable, you can try spreading your legs or holding your feet in the air.
