K2 Commonwealth Snowboard

K2 Commonwealth is a snowboard designed for riders looking for a more demanding board than the iconic Passport, offering greater stability at high speeds and on steep terrain. Based on the proven shape and geometry of the Passport, the Commonwealth has been reinforced with additional technologies and materials to meet the needs of more demanding freeriders.

The A1 Core, made from three types of wood—bamboo, aspen and paulownia—provides lightness, responsiveness and durability. Aspen predominates to increase responsiveness, bamboo underfoot enhances edge stiffness and pressure distribution, while paulownia in the nose and tail reduces weight and makes turn initiation easier.

The core is wrapped in triaxial fiberglass and the patented Spectral Braid™ technology, allowing the board’s flex and torsion to be precisely tuned independently of each other. A Snophobic™ Topsheet has also been used to minimize snow sticking to the board while walking and riding.

The Wax-Infused Sintered 4001 base provides durability and maximum speed on all types of snow, enabling smooth travel across flat sections. The Commonwealth is a unisex snowboard, available in sizes from 146 to 166W, with waist width and flex profile scaled according to the board length.
