K2 WAYBACK 88 Touring Skis

The Wayback 88 are completely redesigned, ideal skis for ski tourers. The 10% weight reduction, achieved with the Paulownia Lite Tour core, makes it easier to reach the summit and ski back down without sacrificing the skis’ performance. Thanks to TiSpyne technology, a titanal insert, there is no compromise: these touring skis perform equally well on descents and ascents.

Skin Grommets – Holes at the tips and tails of touring ski models. They are compatible with the Z-Clip system on K2 skins, allowing the skins to be attached with ease. These holes also make it possible to build a toboggan, provided you also carry a BCA shovel in your backpack.

Carbon Overdrive – A strictly confidential carbon-fibre construction in touring skis that provides incredible handling. The level of enjoyment achieved is difficult to estimate.

Snowphobic Topsheet – A hydrophobic material that prevents snow from sticking to the top surface of the skis. During uphill travel, you do not carry unnecessary snow weight on your skis. To improve snow shedding, ski base wax can be used and applied to the top of the skis as well.

Titanal – Technology used in K2 touring skis. A metal insert in the central section of the skis. This stiffens the lightweight touring skis and provides very good performance despite their low weight.
