The history of KMC began in 1977, when the brand was founded by Charles Wu in Taiwan. Today, KMC is a large company with offices in Europe and the US, employing approximately 4,500 people. Its chains are recognized and used by the world's best cyclists. Some World Tour teams and professional MTB teams, such as the Sabine Spitz Haibike Pro Team, use its products. Although the company focuses almost exclusively on the production of chains and links, it offers products for a wide variety of bicycles and price ranges.
