Marker Alpinist 8 – ultralight touring bindings

Marker Alpinist 8 are ultralight and durable bindings for ski mountaineering, ideal for lightweight touring enthusiasts. They weigh just 270 g without a brake and offer a release range of 3–8 DIN.

The binding design enables active length compensation without affecting the ski’s flex, while the very stiff, carbon-fibre-reinforced toe piece with the ISI Toe element makes stepping into the boot easier. The wide footprint with an integrated stopper automatically positions the foot, ensuring secure and quick engagement.

Kinematically optimised pin levers allow the boot to be locked in easily, even with minimal pressure. The heel piece features climbing aids with angles of 0°, 5° or 9° and enables instant switching between uphill and downhill modes.

The mounting holes with a spacing of 38 mm ensure efficient power transfer to the edges, providing control and precise ski handling in all conditions.
