The Marker Alpinist 8 are among the lightest and most technically advanced pin bindings for demanding ski tourers. Designed for long ascents, stable descents and perfect power transmission, they combine minimal weight with maximum functionality.

The robust construction with the innovative ISI Toe system makes it easier to step into the boot, even in difficult terrain – the wide platform guides the boot into the correct position, while the optimized pin levers ensure that the binding closes easily and securely.

The rear part of the binding offers quick switching between modes and three heel support levels: 0°, 5° and 9°, guaranteeing comfort on slopes of any gradient. The wide 38 mm hole spacing ensures excellent power transmission to the edges and precise ski control, even during fast or technical descents.

Technologies

ALPINIST HEEL

Rear part of the binding with lateral release adjustment and a 15 mm length adjustment range. Three walking modes and a lightweight aluminum heel support allow quick changes of the settings depending on the terrain. Active length compensation ensures consistent release characteristics even when the ski is strongly flexed.

CLIMBING AIDS ALPINIST

Heel support system with 0°, 5° and 9° modes. The “Fast Shift Mode” mechanism enables an instant switch from the neutral position to the highest position without having to rotate the heel piece.

ACTIVE LENGTH COMPENSATION

A mechanism that allows the heel piece to move back by up to 4 mm when the ski flexes, ensuring smooth binding operation and a constant release force.

ISI TOE

The toe piece is equipped with:

• a rubber stopper that makes it easier to position the boot,

• a wide platform that increases stability when stepping in,

• an optimized pin mechanism that requires less force to close.
