The OPTICUM W-20 amplifier is used wherever the signal from an external antenna (without an amplifier) reaching the receiver is too weak, which results in picture stuttering or signal loss.
The cause of such symptoms is usually: the antenna being too far from the transmitter, natural obstacles (hills, trees), tall buildings between the transmitter and the antenna, or the antenna signal being split between several televisions.
The amplifier is designed for use with external directional antennas with a balun terminated with an F socket.
The amplifier should be screwed directly into the balun socket at the antenna and supplied with 5–12 V from the receiver or power supply.
Technical data:
Input/output impedance: 75 Ohm
Gain: 20 dB
Power supply: 5–12 V
Band: VHF-UHF
