The award-winning Cerebel helmet was developed in close collaboration with
Cannondale-Garmin Pro Cycling team, Volvo Car Group and WATTS Lab.
Cerebel
is a compact aero road helmet, designed and constructed for
improved aerodynamic properties. Extensive tunnel testing
aerodynamics and CFD simulations show that Cerebel stands out
dynamic and variable body positions, which in turn has a positive effect
on upper body movement and overall lactate clearance efficiency in
compared to the static TT position.
The back of the helmet is made of
soft, molded EVA foam covered with aerodynamic material,
which reduces resistance and increases comfort.
Cerebel is equipped with
visor from Zeiss and uses a unique magnetic system that
stays in place. The tint of the visor has been specially developed in
cooperation with Zeiss to enhance the contrast of the road surface,
allowing the driver to see any bumps or obstacles
on time.
POC's unique magnetic lens attachment system has been
designed to ensure correct lens positioning to
provide low resistance and also allows for quick attachment and removal.
