The Rossignol HERO Athlete GS with R22 plate is our proven competition giant slalom ski for racing in the U14 and U16 age categories.

The modernized ski design is based on the latest developments and tests with World Cup athletes and is adapted to the individual sizes 170, 175, 182 and 185cm.

The correspondingly lower stiffness, lower than in FIS models, and tailored to each size, makes the Hero Athlete GS model the optimal choice for developing athletes to improve their skills and squeeze out the best times on every GS course.

The ski is constructed with a beech wood core in sizes 170, 175, and 182 cm, and a stiffer ash wood core in size 185 cm. A titanium LCT rail runs the entire length of the wood core. Line Control technology eliminates counter-flex, providing better ski-to-snow contact and stability in turns. This race-specific construction balances total control, power, and precision for winning races. The wood core is additionally stiffened with two layers of titanium, running the full length and width on both sides of the core. This stiffening provides a solid mechanism that delivers energy and power after every turn, even in challenging conditions and at high speeds.

The Cascade Tip Construction utilizes alternating layers of metal and fiberglass stiffeners to reduce the ski's weight and control tip torsion. Combined with the Full Sidewall, the construction delivers smooth turn initiation, increased precision, grip, and effective edge grip from start to finish.

Additionally, the sporty LOOK R22 plate acts as a kind of suspension, providing 100% surefooted grip in turns on hard surfaces underfoot. The skis feature full camber.
