Protection against cold
We designed the Sella Ski 2L Powertex Responsive Jacket with a longer, sporty cut and powder skirt for winter adventures in the mountains. It offers waterproof, windproof, warm, and breathable winter protection in a sporty design. This jacket has proven itself on adventures in remote areas of the Dolomites, where summit ascents are complex and demanding.

Full performance and a waterproof, breathable layer
The Sella Ski 2L Men's Jacket features a two-layer Powertex laminate construction that combines two different hardshell fabrics to provide robust and durable weather protection with a 20,000mm waterproof rating on the back, shoulders, forearms, and waist, while the main fabric offers a solid 10,000mm waterproof rating and good breathability. Welded seams and a 100% PFC-free (Durable Water Repellent) finish provide additional protection. Around the lower torso, we've used a lighter outer fabric with additional wool yarns woven into the fabric. This provides improved breathability at higher speeds and is further supported by deep side zippers with vents that release excess heat.

Thermoreactive insulation

The jacket is lined with lightweight 60-gram TirolWool® Responsive, which provides natural, thermoregulatory warmth. The wool comes from Tyrolean sheep grazing in high-altitude pastures and boasts a high lanolin content, ensuring warmth even when wet. We've further enhanced this performance with our proprietary Responsive technology, which uses thermoreactive minerals to capture infrared energy from the body and release it back over time, allowing for longer comfort, better performance, and faster recovery.

The comprehensive feature set includes a well-designed, insulated storm hood that fits over a helmet with a user-friendly, one-handed rear adjustment system. It also features a waterproof two-way front zipper, a chest pocket with direct zipper access for an ARTVA avalanche device, two outer pockets with waterproof zippers, and a large inner mesh pocket for gloves. Hook-and-loop adjustable cuffs keep out rain and snow and securely fasten over mountaineering gloves and mittens.
