FRONT AND REAR INDEXED DUAL SIS GEAR SHIFT
System components such as the index mechanism built into the shift lever, the frictionless SIS rear index shifting cable, and the smooth-action rear derailleur comprise the SHIMANO INDEX SYSTEM. The SIS rear index shifting system is also incorporated into the front derailleur. This index system makes front shifting easier and more comfortable.
OPTICAL GEAR INDICATOR
The optical gear indicator lets you know which gear is selected while riding. You can see how many gears are still available, making it easier to control gear changes.
EZ Fire Plus
Quick and easy gear changes using just two fingers. The index finger controls the shift lever for a heavier gear, while the thumb controls the lighter gear. The levers are coated with plastic for increased comfort and improved ergonomics.
