A modern replacement for the traditional chain whip
The pins on the tool engage the smallest cog on the cassette and hold it in place, while the hole in the center allows easy access to the cassette lock.
The 11- and 12-tooth versions feature longer pins on the 12t side. This makes them fully compatible with cassettes where the two smallest sprockets are 10 and 12 teeth. To remove a sprocket where the smallest sprocket is 10t, the tool reaches over it and engages the next 12t sprocket.
