K2 Sky Pilot Snowboard

K2 Sky Pilot is a Sage Kotsenburg signature snowboard designed for riders who want to combine freeride with a creative approach to riding. It was created for smooth turns in deep snow, fast runs between trees and natural freestyle. Thanks to its Volume Shift™ construction, it is exceptionally nimble while offering the float and stability typically associated with much longer boards.

The Directional Combination Camber profile combines traditional camber under the bindings with rocker at the nose and tail. This provides strong edge hold and dynamic pop on groomed runs, while also making it easier to float in powder and initiate turns smoothly. The Directional Shape and lack of taper keep the board highly versatile and predictable both when carving and riding in natural terrain.

One of the biggest innovations of the Sky Pilot model is the S1 Core – a new core made from bamboo, aspen and paulownia. Thanks to the strategic arrangement of the wood species, it provides greater stability underfoot, a faster response when changing edges and excellent damping when riding in demanding terrain.

An additional advantage is the 3D Base Contour, a subtly contoured nose and tail (3 mm) that lift the contact points above the snow. As a result, the Sky Pilot initiates turns exceptionally easily, transitions smoothly from edge to edge and retains its surfy character when riding in powder and on tight tree lines.

The package is completed by the fast Sintered 4000 Base, which absorbs wax very well and maintains high speed all day long, as well as the lightweight Hybritech™ construction, which increases durability and reduces the board’s weight.
