Air Sprung Cells technology

Air Sprung Cells is the core technology used in our mats. It is also the reason why they are so comfortable to sleep on. Sea to Summit mats are made up of numerous interconnected air chambers called Air Sprung Cells. The Air Sprung Cells conform to the shape of the body, providing a soft and comfortable feel.

Exkin Platinum

Exkin Platinum is an ultralight, non-woven material covered with a metallized insulating layer. Exkin Platinum thermal technology reflects heat loss back towards the user.

THERMOLITE insulation

THERMOLITE insulation is made from specially developed fibers to achieve a high CLO value while maintaining low mat weight. Insulated products are insulated with THERMOLITE HL-1, a synthetic fiber made with unique 3D folds that provide excellent warmth and improved durability. Working together with Air Sprung Cells technology, THERMOLITE insulation prevents heat from being lost from the warm body to the cold ground.

Embossed TPU coating

The embossed coating is considerably more durable and compact and allows the use of a TPU formula. This is a much more effective technique than the lamination commonly used on the market, which is less resistant to delamination. To prevent the growth of fungi and mold inside the mat, the TPU coating has been enhanced with an additional antibacterial layer. This allows you to inflate the mat safely and hygienically using one of the two available valves.

Nylon 40D

For maximum durability, the mat is made of reinforced 40D Nylon. TPU material is used inside to ensure airtightness and flexibility. The outer layer of the mat is covered with a thin PU coating, reducing surface slipperiness, increasing resistance to damage and facilitating spot repairs with self-adhesive patches.

The Ultralight Insulated mat also comes with a repair kit and a storage bag for convenient storage.
